The department of Maharishi Markandeshwar College of Nursing Kumarhatti, Solan organized a one day training programme on Intravenous therapy. The chief guest for the programme was Mr. Ajay Singal, Registrar MMU Solan. Before starting the main program inauguration has done with lamp lightening ceremony by Mr. Ajay Singal, Registrar and Dr. (Mrs.) Jasbir Kaur, Principal, MMCON, Medical Superintendent Dr. Ram Krishan Shrama, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Manpreet Singh Nanda, Nursing Superintendent Ms. Sunita Guerra Threfall (MMMC&H). Mr. Mohammad Akmal and Mr. Shyam Murari from B. Braun Company, India Ltd had given their presence as a Therapy specialist speaker on Intravenous Therapy Expert Training Programme. Dr. Jasbir Kaur, Prinicipal, MMCON welcomed all dignitaries and participants.

The training programme is to explore concepts on IV therapy indications, complication, and care and management of IV Therapy in order to develop knowledge and skills. Develop ability to link theory with practices through skills assessment and clinical competencies. During the programme, the participants got a chance to enrich their clinical practice skills. Speaker Mr. Mohammad Akmal told about the current hand rub techniques launched by the World Health Organization.This workshop has provided a platform for researchers and academician’s to share knowledge and experience for exchange of ideas on Intravenous Therapy. Teachers, Staff Nurses and M.Sc. students (50) from various colleges attended the workshop and got training.
